Applying this research, you will complete a clinical examination of various structures comprising the central nervous system with a particular focus on the mechanism of action and function of all of the cranial nerves.
  • Investigate common central nervous system disorders such as ALS, motor neurone disease, meningitis, bipolar disorder and epilepsy, while evaluating emerging treatments.
  • Investigate both the practice of medicine and biomedical research through guest speakers and visits to university biomedical labs, simulation centers, and research facilities.
  • Gain practical insight into a career as a surgeon, doctor, nurse, or allied health professional and identify how to navigate the medical school application process.
