Focused on evaluating and debating emerging trends in clinical research, medical ethics and biotechnology, you will explore developments in artificial intelligence, robotic surgery and telemedicine as you prepare for the medical careers of tomorrow.

  • Take on the role of a medical professional in the “Clinical Skills Simulation” where you will evaluate research related to the central nervous system, the gastrointestinal system and advances in genomic medicine. Applying this research, you will complete a clinical examination of various structures comprising the central nervous system with a particular focus on the mechanism of action and function of all of the cranial nerves.
  • Investigate common central nervous system disorders such as ALS, motor neurone disease, meningitis, bipolar disorder and epilepsy, while evaluating emerging treatments.
  • Investigate both the practice of medicine and biomedical research through guest speakers and visits to university biomedical labs, simulation centers, and research facilities.
  • Gain practical insight into a career as a surgeon, doctor, nurse, or allied health professional and identify how to navigate the medical school application process.
  • Reside in the prestigious colleges of the University of Oxford and build a global network of peers to strengthen your career trajectory.
